Psychotherapy

Psycho, comes from the Greek, `Psyche,’ the soul. Therapy, also comes from the Greek. It means, `to nurse,’ or,`to heal.’ So Psychotherapy means Healing of the Soul

Psychology is the study of human behaviour. It seeks to understand the motivational forces within each individual, which explain his or her responses to the environment, especially to other people.

Psychotherapy, therefore, is the application of psychological knowledge to the treatment of those suffering from disorders that are of a psychological origin, using many different tools, dependent upon what the client needs and wants.

Psychotherapy can swiftly help resolve deep seated behaviours often developed during childhood. Very often we are not even aware of where these behaviours and feelings began.

Once the emotion or trauma behind the behaviour has been explored and dealt with, the behaviour disappears very swiftly on it’s own accord and no further intervention is necessary.

Psychotherapy increases understanding, self confidence, self belief and self love enabling you to be more successful in any endeavour you embark upon.

Over the years psychotherapy has had an uncertain reputation, people thinking perhaps (erroneously) that you have a problem if you need to see a counsellor or psychotherapist, but actually, it’s really very logical to seek help. If a part of your life isn’t working, why would you just keep walking on the same road, repeating the same patterns, surely it’s only sensible to switch paths and go in a different direction in order to take control of your life and your happiness. If a part on your car breaks you would take it to a specialist in order to have it working well again. It’s the same for people, seeking out an expert in this field is the only intelligent thing to do. Seeking competent, experienced, professional help will set you back on the right path – the path where you wish to be, very swiftly armed with many tools that will help you now and for any adversity that you come across in the future. It just makes sense.
